Privacy policy

Simple Trainer is a local-first strength training logbook. No account is needed to use the app, and we do not operate a server that collects your workout history.

Data on your devices

Your exercises, workout plans, active workout, confirmed sets, history, and preferences are stored on your iPhone. The companion Apple Watch app stores and exchanges the information needed to support your workouts through Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising. The app does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Apple Health

The revised app lets you use the local logbook without Health access. Connecting Apple Health and reading Health information are optional. Older beta builds may require workout-write permission during setup. If you grant access, the app may use relevant workout, activity, and body measurement information for its features. Body measurements edited through the app are stored in Health. Detailed sets and reps stay in the local logbook.

You control Health permissions in Apple’s settings. Revoking permission does not erase your local workout records. A workout saved to Health is separate from its app record; deleting one does not automatically delete the other. Health data is not used for advertising or marketing.

Optional motion, camera, and microphone access

Optional workout assistance may use device motion, camera, or microphone input when you enable the relevant feature and grant permission. Processing happens on your device. The app does not store raw audio or video recordings. Calibration information may be kept locally. Detector estimates are suggestions for you to review, not automatically confirmed results.

Apple services and backups

Depending on your Apple settings, iCloud Backup may include app data, and Health in iCloud may synchronize Health records. Simple Trainer does not provide a separate cloud account or direct iCloud synchronization of the detailed logbook. Apple handles these services under its own privacy policy. If enabled, system search may index app content locally; you can manage this in your device settings.

TestFlight and support

Apple processes TestFlight participation, diagnostics, and feedback under its own terms and privacy policy. When you send feedback or email us, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your email address, message, device details, and attachments. We use this to respond and investigate issues.

Support email is delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing to our Google-hosted inbox. We retain support correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and related follow-up, or to meet applicable obligations. You may ask us to delete correspondence we hold. Please avoid sending unnecessary health or sensitive information.

This website

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and processes technical request information, such as IP address, browser information, and requested pages, to deliver and secure it. We do not add advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, or marketing cookies to this site.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or delete local workout records, revoke optional permissions, and manage your Apple backups. Deleting the app removes its local data; copies in Apple Health or backups must be managed separately. We cannot access or remotely recover your local training log. Read your data and deletion options.
